July 2017's Roaster of the Month: Receiver Coffee

In our search of Canada’s best coffee, Secret Sip Coffee Club identified a beautiful Secret Single Origin which just needed to be shared! Fortunately, the timing of this month’s roast which has been curated by an inspiring roaster based in Charlottetown, PEI worked well with the larger celebration occurring around Canada this July. We thought we would jump on the Canada 150 train and thus partnered with a roaster who indubitably has a peculiar proximity to the location of Canada’s Confederation. It is with great pleasure that we present Receiver Coffee Roasters.

April 2017's Roaster of the Month: Sheepdog Coffee

For the month of April, Secret Sip Coffee Club is proud to present a very unique micro-roaster operating out of Winnipeg, Manitoba – Sheepdog Coffee Co. We were once again at their commitment to freshness and quality of their small batches. In fact on their website, they indicate that “We hardly ever keep stock on hand, ensuring our product is how we'd want it.” - in reference to their roasting philosophy. Sheepdog’s pursuit of knowledgeable, ethical and committed source partners was a real draw for us.

Secret Sip Coffee Club takes great pleasure in introducing February’s secret roaster operating out of Canmore, Alberta. This Rocky Mountain town might seem like an unlikely place to find an elaborate third wave roaster, however, after stumbling upon the team via a referral from a friend in the area, we were pleasantly surprised.

September 2016's Roaster of the Month: Java Blend

For the release of our September shipment, we have selected a dynamic independent roaster located in the “hip” North end of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was approximately four years ago that we stumbled upon Java Blend during one of several visits to the East Coast. The passion and joy exhibited by all of the team at Java Blend perpetuated a seemingly stereotypical vibe common across various cities in Nova Scotia.
