Secret Sip Coffee Club is filled with joy and excitement as we introduce our wonderful secret roasting partner from the province of Quebec for the month of September! Bean et Bonheur Artisan Roaster is a family-owned coffee roaster owned and operated by an amazing duo - Johannie & Steve! Bean et Bonheur is the brain child of a love story and the meeting between a man and a woman. The adventure of a lifetime that was born from discussions, trips, and family is what makes Bean et Bonheur the talk of the town in Longueuil, Québec!

The team is always in the midst of brainstorming various projects and innovative blends. The genuine approach to transparency, discovery, knowledge, and growth, in good times as well as in the difficulties drew us to this roaster. Integrity, traceability and respect for the environment are at the heart of the team’s mission and will be part of the lasting relationships that they forge and maintain from tree to cup.

“Our goal is to roast the coffee with rigor in order to pay tribute to all the work that the producers have done upstream.”

This month’s offering to our club members was the Finca El Porvenir single origin from Colombia from the Caldas region and produced by Emilio Robledo. The beans are Castillo Naranjal variatel , grown at an altitude of 1400 MASL, manually washed and cupped at 84 points. The characteristics of this delicious brew is a sweet and juicy sugar cane and bright bergamot note.
